This improves his recent best by nearly a minute and a half, and moves him up to 6th on the club all-time list.
Not to be out-done, Helen Beck knocked well over two minutes off her best with an excellent new PB of 86 mins 05 secs, the 5th best on the club all-time list, which placed her 143rd overall and 7th lady in the race. Also climbing up those club rankings were Nicky Steel & Alex Potter, with fine new PBs of 92:05 & 92:14 respectively, and M60 Peter Gooding also had a good run, just missing Brian Fozzard's club M60 record with his time of 93:53. 22nd Sep 2012. Good Showing from Harriers at the Northern Road Relay Championships.

Julie was 12th fastest overall, and Helen 24th out of the 240 runners who competed. The incomplete 'B' team of Sally Smith, Nicky Steel & Helen McLeod were also well placed after their 3 legs. Unfortunately the entry for the Senior Men's team was lost in the post and the organisers wouldn't accept a late entry from the club, which was very disappointing as we had a good team lined up this year.
In the younger age groups the U17 Ladies trio of Rebecca Firth, Stephanie Rodgers & Faye Beckett were 9th, with Rebecca 19th fastest overall, whilst for the U17 Men Danny Franks, Cameron Dye & Robert Sanderson were 26th. Bethan Oates, Chloe Fitton & Lucy Robinson were an excellent 8th in the U15 Girl's race, and the 'B' team of Emily Gill, Haley Newbound & Laura Anderson were 27th. The U15 Boys team went one better, finishing 7th, with Edward Dunbavin, George Heppinstall & Ben Read all running well. Ben was 7th fastest overall, and 3rd fastest from Yorkshire.
