Wombwell 5 Mile Road Race

Sharon Marshall, a new recruit to the Wakefield Harriers' women's squad, had a great outing in the Wombwell 5-mile road race. Marshall was the second woman home over a hilly and wind-swept course in a personal best 30 mins 46 secs run, slashing her own record by two minutes.

Alice Butler was third, just failing to catch Marshall on the run-in.
