The final meeting of the 1999/2000 championship took place over a two lap, 4.1 miles, part off-road course at Stanley based upon the Stanley Arms. A fair turn-out saw an interesting tussle between off-road specialist Brian Horsfall (who, not too long ago finished in the trophies in the 3 peak's race) and Steve Tibbs, with Steve haring away on the road bits and Brian pulling back over the rough stuff. In the end, the predominance of road and Steve's speed told and he finished 7 seconds ahead of Bri.

The handicap winner was loyal competitor Graham Whitworth with Sue Needham taking the ladies handicap prize. Interestingly, these two got lost on the Haw Park event and with handicaps generally based upon previous performances, their slower times last month gave them the advantage this.
