Down to earth with a big bang this month. After a series of increasing turnouts in the months leading up to Christmas, only nine athletes turned up for the January meeting. There were a number of injuries and some regulars had flu but it was a miserable showing for a well organised event, at a venue not too far away from town (in my days of doing regular tens from the club on Tuesday nights we used to run most of this course) and a good pub. Still - those who turned up enjoyed it.
Yet another record fell - Val failed to get lost on a distance league event for the second time since August!! And Stuart was on time (mindst, he did organise it and it started almost from outside of his house).
No change to the lead in any of the tables, Richard West remains on top of the senior men's table and he increased his lead by a couple of points. In the Ladies table, Dot continues to lead and in the Vets' table, Stuart Anderson maintains his supremacy.
