Wakefield Senior Men's opening match of the season saw a below full strength squad travel to Middlesborough for their first league match. With the Hammer & Discus events cancelled due to problems with the safety cage Wakefield lost out on two high scoring events. The rest of the program saw several PBs from Wakefield athletes, notably James Davies 49.7 for the 400m, an excellent performance from an 18 year old Junior. Special thanks to Patrick McTigue for turning out at short notice and completing both the Steeplechase and 5000m.
