Tenth Meeting - March Madness

An excellent turn out of 16 athletes on a cold night, up Dewsbury Road and down Horbury Road on a route of 3 and a bit miles. Leadership in the men’s leagues continues to change hands whilst even in the ladies, Dot Hand can’t afford to miss the last two events.

Steve Tibbs had an excellent run (looking good coming to a peak in his training for London) and took half a minute out of Craig Heppenstall. Craig is currently at the top of the senior men’s table but he misses one of the last two races at his peril.

In the Vets, Richard West regained the top spot but with Stuart Anderson trebling any points he gains in the last two races by virtue of being over 60, all it will take is a poor turn out (so allowing Stuart to finish high amongst the points) and an out of form run from Richard and Stuart could steal it from him. Mike Logan is not too far away, also, and a good run from him could create a surprise.

The handicap prizes last month were all Easter eggs (just to get into the mood) with a beyond form run from Steve Wilkinson taking the first prize.
