Wakefield Harriers hosted a Northern Women League Division 4EC event at Thornes Park Athletics Stadium. Weather conditions were favourable, with the rain holding off during the competition.
The opposition for the strong Wakefield team was limited, with most of the results seeing victories for home athletes.
Wakefield welcomed back Emily Freeman, after a spell on the sidelines with shin problems, and Karen Rhodes who had originally turned up to spectate who was pressed into service in the 400m, with both winning their events.
Wakefield also won all the relay events throughout each age group.
Match result: 1st Wakefield 441; 2nd Grimsby 232; 3rd Chesterfield 187; 4th Wombwell Sporting AC 122.
