North of England Mens 6 Stage RelaysReport by: Ron NeedhamA team still in the process of getting it together in terms of fitness represented the club at Sefton Park, Liverpool. In the event, we finished a creditable 36th out over 80 starters. Andy Johnson took the hard opening leg, bringing us back in 37th with a time of 20-59. A fine run from in-form Craig Heppenstall pulled back 9 places to bring us to 28th with 20-46, handing over to Steve Tibbs who pulled back a further two top hand over to Dave Needham in 26th spot. Steve’s time was 20-58. Dave, still getting fit after his six months lay-off to concentrate on university studies lost a place but returned a creditable 21-19. Club treasurer Tony White ran his heart out to bring the club in at 33rd with a personal time of 23-00 and club stalwart Nick Mannion finished it all off with a time of 22-48.
A good effort lads. Well done.
