A good event with an incredible turn-out of 16 athletes. Thanks to Steve Wilkinson for the superb run this month. A safe and challenging blast round about 3 miles.

The men’s event was a fairly close run thing with Dave Needham, gradually getting back to fitness, just taking the honours on the run in from league leader Craig Heppenstall. It’s good to see the lads coming through from juniors. In David and Craig’s case, they have been running together at the Harriers since the age of 7. No change at the top of the women’s league, with Dot Hand extending her lead.

The handicaps were very close, with a tie for the mens between Stuart Anderson and Tony white On handicaps, the ten men were all within a minute of each other. The ladies’ handicap was tight too, with only 14 seconds separating the four of them.
